Food Pantry
The New Berlin Food Pantry at the Episcopal Church has picked up several of our New Berlin customers and they are doing a great job filling the needs.  the month of November, the Southtown Food Pantry served 654 meals, the highest number of meals this year.  We are still in need of spaghetti, canned meats, juice, and frozen items.  As of December 19, 2011, we have been awarded two $700.00 shipments from the Food Bank of Central New York for 2012.  This will greatly help serving the community during their times of need.  Thank you for your support.

Wanted

A few good men and women willing to learn CPR and to be certified in our new Defibrillator.  For the past several months it has been presented to the Advisory Board that the church should have a Defibrillator to be used in case of emergency.  An anonymous donor has given the funds and the machine has been purchased.  We need 8-10 people who would be willing to be trained in the use and care of the machine.  Certification is good for two years.  Anyone age 16 and up is eligible for training.  This will involve a 3 1/2 hour training by a certified Red Cross representative.  Please let the church office know by calling 859-2240 or see Pastor Barry
Thanks
The Story
"Finding Your Story in God's Story"

The experience begins 11a.m. on January 8, 2012.

With thousands of participating churches nationwide.  The Story is becoming a movement that is bringing wide-ranging benefits to local churches.  Many have reported increased community out-reach, increased Biblical literacy, congregational growth and a greater understanding of how God's story reveals the reasons for the things that happen in man's story.

"I want the people in my congregation, as well as the community of South New Berlin, to realize the incredible love God has for them and how their story is found in His story," said Pastor Barry Davis.

Books are available now for a $10.00 donation, or can be used free during the service.

The First Baptist Church of South New Berlin invites you to experience The Story.  Sunday services start at 11:00am; all are welcome!

Combined Worship Service
January 29, 2012
11am
At
First Baptist Church of South New Berlin

The fellowship, the worship together, the time of sharing is awesome when God joins us together in praise to our Lord.  As we begin 2012, let us unite our two churches during this first fifth Sunday of the New Year.

As we worship together, we will be continuing our study of The Story.  The message will be on Deliverance.  Deliverance from what?  Guess you will have to join us to find out.

There will be a Fellowship Meal immediately following the worship service.  Please bring a dish to pass.  Drinks & table service will be provided.  Following the meal, South New Berlin will have their Annual Meeting for the church business.
